The tourism film festival “Tourfilm-Riga 2008“ for the first time was organized as a pilot project in 2008 during the International tourism fair “Balttour-2008”.
There were 55 reels from 16 states presented at the exposition.
Award films were:
Copenhagen/ Oresund: one destination - two countries (Anders Garde Kongshaug)
Holidays in Riga (Televizijas un Video parks)
Austrian Kickoff (Georg Riha, Brains & Pictures, RIHA-FWG)
Biotopes of Baltic Sea Kurland seacoast (K.Goba, Studio of J.Podnieks)
The purpose of the event is the exposition of reels, which present specific cities, regions, sates or the product of tourism as a destination.
