On 24th of April at cinema Riga was held 3rd international tourism film festival “Tourfilm Riga 2010” organized by Riga Tourism Coordination and Information Centre. In festival was judged films that present a tourist product or a specific city, region or country as a tourist destination. The festival has received 97 short films from 35 countries. Jury nominated the best films in cultural tourism, eco tourism, adventure tourism and sacral

Tourism film festival is developing and existing as one of the marketing structures.
The first festival took place in Italy, 1962. Since then festivals have been presented on regular bases in Karlovy Vary, Berlin, Barcelos, Split, Plock, Vienna, Lech, Los Angeles, New York and now also in Riga. Tourism film festival is coordinated in Vienna by CIFFT (International Committee of Tourism Film Festivals).   More..
